Mrs. Salvant has been teaching since 2008. Prior to teaching, she trained with Second City in Chicago, IL. She has also appeared onstage with Tulane's Shakespeare Festival. While attending L.S.U., Mrs. Salvant taught undergraduate beginning acting and movement for stage. Locally, Mrs. Salvant performed in Alabama School of Fine Art's production of Stage Door and continues to act when the opportunity presents itself. Most recently, she is published as performing a role in a compilation of one act plays produced at Terrific New Theatre within Pepper Place

With Bumpus Middle School Mrs. Salvant has directed The Wizard of Oz, The Velveteen Rabbit, Alice in Wonderland, High School Musical Junior, Annie Junior, The Necklace, Into the Woods Junior, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, A Wrinkle in Time, School House Rock, Live!, Anne of Green Gables, and Dickens' A Christmas Carol.

With Alys Stephens Center's Artplay Mrs Salvant has directed Frog and Toad (on two separate occasions), Beauty and the Beast, Jungle Book, Sleeping Beauty, Aladdin, Winnie the Pooh, Annie Kids, Music Man Kids, and Aristocats.

With Children's Dance Foundation Mrs. Salvant has directed Homework Eats Dog and Other Woeful Tales, Monologue Showcase and "Jabberwocky", and Mother Goosed.
